why is tub faucet leaking from hot water handle
when cold water is turned on water leaks from hot water handle - not
leaking from faucet itself.
if possible tighten the nut if you have one, on the outside of
the faucet.thay may work. if not remove the handle and replace either the
washer and /or packing in whatever type you have. any hardware stores
sells these parts
Bad valve stem packing. Fairly easy to replace/repair.
Mine was doing that too. I tightened the screw under the cap
with the ''H'' on the faucet handle and that fixed it.
Wonder if the temperature change makes it loosen quicker than the cold, or
was that just coincidence?
the washer is bad under the valve stem, the cold water meets in
the middle of the fixture and is getting pushed thru the hot side, remove
and take to the hardware or buy a rubber washer and replace, washer sizes
vary so be careful and good luck.
Look for a bad seal and then for a cracked housing.
